چکیده
Abstract The aim of this paper was to study the kinetics Boron adsorption by using concepts and different concentrations Boron. A number laboratory experiments were conducted on three samples gypsum soils which taken from some fields Tikrit University Al-Alam city. soil contained low medium with concentration (62) g.kg -1 (134) gm.kg respectively College Agriculture’s field at Tikrit, third high a (241) Some physical chemical properties measured. experiment included taking un-stimulated plastic tubes sampling sites obtain natural models, adding equations describe most accurate description (Elovich equation). treatment (0 mgB.L ) gave coefficient determination (0.9757) (0.9591) (0.9621) standard error (1.605) (1.307) (1.429) for (low, high) respectively. Kinetics of arsenate adsorption-desorption in soils.
Adsorption-desorption of arsenic is the primary factor that impacts the bioavailability and mobility of arsenic in soils. To examine the characteristics of arsenate [As(V)] adsorption-desorption, kinetic batch experiments were carried out on three soils having different properties, followed by arsenic release using successive dilutions. Adsorption of As(V) was highly nonlinear, with a Freundlic...
متن کاملEffect of pH on boron adsorption in some soils of Paraná, Brazil
Temporary B deficiency can be triggered by liming of acid soils because of increased B adsorption at higher soil pH. Plants respond directly to the activity of B in soil solution and only indirectly to B adsorbed on soil constituents. Because the range between deficient and toxic B concentration is relatively narrow, this poses difficulty in maintaining appropriate B levels in soil solution. Th...
متن کاملInfluence of Soil Solution Salinity on Boron Adsorption by Soils
Boron (B) adsorption on two arid-zone soils from the San Joaquin Valley of California was investigated as a function of equilibrium solution B concentration (0–250 mg L), solution pH (3–12), and electrical conductivity (EC, 0.3 or 7.8 dS m). Boron adsorption on both soils increased with increasing pH, reached a maximum near pH 9, and decreased with further increases in pH. Boron adsorption as a...
متن کاملModeling Arsenic(III) Adsorption and Heterogeneous Oxidation Kinetics in Soils
Arsenite [As(III>] is a soluble and toxic species of arsenic that can be introduced into soil by geothermal waters, mining activities, irrigation practices, and disposal of industrial wastes. We determined the rates of As(III) adsorption, and subsequent oxidation to arsenate | As(V)| in aerobic soil-water suspensions using four California soils. The rate of As(III) adsorption on the soils was c...
متن کاملPredicting Boron Adsorption by Soils Using Soil Chemical Parameters in the Constant Capacitance Model
The constant capacitance model, a chemical surface complexation model, was applied to B adsorption on 17 soils selected for variation in soil properties. A general regression model was developed for predicting soil B surface complexation constants from easily measured soil chemical characteristics. These chemical properties were cationexchange capacity (CEC), surface area, organic carbon conten...
